The decision by rap/rock megastars Beastie Boys to make a concert film by handing out cameras to fans as well as pros, and then mixing the results, is demented, chaotic and pure genius – much like the group themselves.
Psychedelic colours and animated trickery mixed in on several songs confuse things even further, with audience footage that is often shaky but gives the whole a real sense of the buzz and excitement of a live gig.
Can make you feel a bit nauseous with camera-shake occasionally but all-in-all a captivating experience, capturing the atmosphere of their gigs without putting you to the inconvenience of actually attending.
