Renata Bella feels like a failure at life and career. But when Renata attends a seminar on selling real estate, she finally finds True Love.
Sam Sharpe, while a top-notch, successful salesman, is much older than Renata. She is swept away by his excessively flamboyant style and irrepressible nature.
The very traits she finds romantic, however, lead to repeated conflict with her family, especially her beloved father Joe, leaving Renata trapped in the middle.

A surprising "video premiere", i.e. no one was prepared to risk a verdict from the great British Public at the cinemas, for this romantic comedy from My Life As A Dog director Lasse Hallestrom.
Holly Hunter marries older man Richard Dreyfuss, but her eccentric Boston family (Danny Aiello, Laura San Giacomo and Gena Rowlands among them), believe there is rather more to him than meets the eye.
With the film deconstructing each character excellently, seeing their identifiable flaws and uppermost qualities the film gives a sense of optimism even for the most emotionally stunted of families.
This somehow manages to be a Feel Good movie that actually manages to make you feel good.
