Agent Cody Banks

Cody Banks is your average teenager until the CIA picks him to head an undercover mission. He must save the planet and, in true James Bond fashion, get the girl.

In Big Fat Liar, Frankie Muniz graduated from television (as the hero of Malcolm In The Middle) to movies with more charisma and genuine comic talent in his big toe than most child stars can hope to boast. A few years down the line, however, the ageing process has kicked in and Muniz has wisely graduated from cheeky schoolboy to cheeky teen.

Cody revels in his double life. While still a kid who is clearly struck dumb by large breasts (understandably in the case of Angie Harmon), he knows that the benefits of being an underage, undercover agent include getting the CIA to do your homework while you zoom around in your Ferrari beating up the bad guys.

Teen Bond has been covered somewhat in Spy Kids (the third instalment is released just days after this), but there's enough spy-fi spoofing, gadgets, fast cars and cat-suited beauties here to cause even Sir Roger to raise an eyebrow.

Living out every boy's dream has its moments, but the laughs aren't that forthcoming, with the Muniz charm working hard with a patchy script.
