A grown-up reboot of 1960s manga, this is visually stunning (in beautiful 3D cel animation) but narratively loose. Following a spate of suicide bombings, a retired team of superhumans is taken off ice and redeployed. The unfolding story has potential but remains an infuriating head-scratcher.
