"Chris is the lead. I saw Chris in Sunshine, and I really liked him. He's got a lot of charisma and a strong presence. And we needed someone who felt real in this world, and for me there's intensity about him. I mean, he's a handsome boy but I just see him as a very good actor. He takes it very seriously, he does a lot of research. Like, when I took the job I wondered what bits of these history were real, what kind of experiments have been done on people, and he came to me when I first met him with all this information. I though that was a smart thing as an actor to as question."
