Gael Garcia Bernal Talks No The Mexican actor on his Oscar-nominated drama

| |
It may sound like a prequel to Dr. No set before the iron-handed megalomaniac went to medical school, but Oscar-nominated drama/thriller No is actually a sly, witty look at the advertising campaign to unseat Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet in a 1998 plebiscite. It's about the power of humour, marketing and a well-selected montage to cure the world of its ills and right in the wheelhouse of its star, Gael Garcia Bernal. The charming, brainy actor chatted happily about making the film and his memories of the '80s. Look out for tales of his stonewash shame and soft-rock confessions.
