Young Indy accompanies his parents on a trip across the world, taking in countries including Greece, France and Egypt.
1908-1912 		Anne Jones dies of Scarlet fever.
May, 1912 		Indy gets his famous chin scar in a mishap with a whip, is given his fedora and discovers his love for treasure hunting while trying to rescue the Cross of Coronado from nefarious do-badders. N.B. The man who steals the cross, credited as Fedora, was listed as Abner Ravenwood in the original Last Crusade script. Abner Ravenwood is Marion Ravenwood's father.

Indy first meets Marcus Brody.
1913 		The Jones' dog, Indiana, dies.
April 1916 		Indy graduates from the University of Chicago.
April 1922 		Indy, along with sidekick Short Round and stroppy love interest Willie Scott, retrieve a Sankara Stone from the villainous Mola Ram and frees the children of a local village. He also gets together with Willie, but this will apparently not last.
1935 		Indy recovers a golden idol from the Chachapoyan Temple, but it is stolen by old rival Renee Belloq. He then follows Belloq to Cairo, with Marion Ravenwood in tow, to rescue the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark makes Belloq's faces go all melty, but Indy and Marion survive.
1936 		Indy retrieves the Cross of the Coronado after 26 years (yay!). He then travels to Italy to rescue his father, who was reported missing, and the pair team-up on a quest for the Holy Grail. Find Holy Grail and indirectly drop it down a chasm. We learn that Indy was named after the family dog.
1938 		Indy is drawn into a quest for the mysterious Crystal Skull. The quest re-connects him with Marion Ravenwood and introduces him to her son Mutt. Lots of hopefully very exciting stuff happens that we won't know about until we've seen the film.
1957 		Indy is now living in New York with his daughter Daphne and his cat, Henry. He also has a grandson called Spike.
