Tying-in with Sam Raimis latest flick, the developers have now created an even more ambitious and compelling adventure.
While most of Spideys Lycra-clad super-buddies have had to make do with shoddy console spin-offs, the web master has appeared in a clutch of classic games that beautifully capture the thrills and chills of the comic book.
Tieing-in with Sam Raimis latest flick, the developers have now created an even more ambitious and compelling adventure. Unlike previous Spider-Man games, the action is no longer restricted to the rooftops of Manhattan. Now the web-head can really be part of the neighbourhood, interacting with other characters, menacing muggers and making you feel youre really part of the city.
The web-slinging action has also been refined; whereas earlier games saw Spideys webs attaching themselves to an invisible barrier in the sky, players can now hook lines to the side of any building and use momentum and gravity to rocket around the busy streets a system that takes time to master but which is deeply satisfying.
Comic fans will also be delighted as the game expands on the movie throwing villains The Vulture and Electro into the mix and gives gamers the freedom to tackle everyday crimes as they happen on the streets.
