Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy Review

On the surface, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy looks like yet another military-themed actioner. But once you discover the thrills of mind control, it becomes a sadistically satisfying experience.

Taking control of a hero blessed with telekinetic powers, players can use psychic kills to manipulate their environment, from using a stack of crates to build a staircase to another level, to travelling outside their physical body to sneak inot sealed rooms.

But the hero's mind-bending abilities are most gratifying during combat; rather than risking a firefight, you can lift a soldier into the air and pump them full of lead, push them Jedi-style to their death off the edge of a platform, or even control their thoughts and force them to turn against their allies.

It's let down by irritating enemies that somehow manage to sneak up behind you when you least expect it, but Psi-Ops is still savage, sick fun.
