F1 Grand Prix Review

All the official tracks, drivers, and sponsors are present, but...

On paper, F1 Grand Prix is the perfect formula one game, with all the official tracks, drivers and sponsors from the 2005 season, along with wireless head-to-head multiplayer action and a slick scenario mode that throws you headlong into a variety of impossible situations. What it lacks, though, is a genuine sense of excitement.

While the thrills of F1 racing come from clever technical driving at insane speeds, using the PSP’s twitchy analogue controller means it virtually impossible to make microscopic adjustments as you burn around the tracks, and it’s easy to steer into the path of rival drivers as you ease your way around the hairpin bends.
