Dead Rising

As the developer of Resident Evil, Japanese coder Capcom is the undisputed king of zombie gaming. But for its latest gorefest, the developer has taken a pacier approach to butchering the undead. Playing like a cross between Dawn and Shaun Of The Dead, Dead Rising finds players trapped in a zombie-infested shopping mall where they can use anything that comes to hand as an impromptu weapon, from chainsaws and hatchets in the hardware store to guitars, CD cases, bowling balls, skateboards and anything else that can bludgeon the rotting hordes. The chance to take photographs to earn bonus points and upgrade your hero adds depth to the carnage, but even the most barbaric players will eventually grow tired of the relentless slaughter.
