| First-Person Film | | The only way to make a true movie version of Halo would be to film all the action scenes in first-person mode, then it would be a (first) true movie-game adaptation. Hollywood just can't make Videogame adaptations, every single movie seems to miss the point, eg- Silent Hill, Doom, Super Mario Bros...i rest my case. the halo 2 storyline was by far the best, by giving you 2 characters with wildly different backgrounds it gave the game alot of depth.
im hoping for the best but deeo down i know they are gonna screw it up More Posted by Stevie91 at 19:15, 16 October 2010 | Report This Post | | | | | RE: RE: | | L: Chief
I was thinking more after the initial kidnap. The training, the augmentation (and how some washed out), the early missions before the armour etc.
It would lead to a more character driven movie, the interaction between theses scared kids as they progress from individuals to a team unit.
Then once that's established, unveil the alien threat near the end, the naval battles in the skies, then the escape to Halo.
I doubt that this would be the route they'd take though. Being a Halo fan, part of me wants to see this happen and part of me wants them to stay well away.
If it is going to happen then I think adapting the books would be the way to go. Eric Nylund's books were fantastic.
e to see them focus on how the Spartans came to being on the training when they were young and progressing through to the war with the Covenant.

Yeah that's basically what I was saying in paragraph 2 of my post Pete, just didn't name a specific event owever don't you think the studio would just stick Master Chief in there anyway? To use an icon to promote it? That's why I think they'll be more drawn to retelling the same stories on screen.
Haha! Oh yeah sorry, still early and my brain doesn’t fully kick into gear until about More Posted by pete_traynor at 11:41, 13 October 2010 | Report This Post | | | | | RE: adamj | |
