The Book Thief

Film synopsis 1930s Germany. Young Liesel Melinger (Nélisse) is sent to live with foster parents Hans (Rush) and Rosa Hubermann (Watson) by her communist-sympathising mother. As she grows up, she tries to make sense of the constantly worsening situation as the grip of the Nazis on everyday German life takes hold.
