Film synopsis Arizona, 1873. A man (Craig) awakens in the sparse hinterland of one-horse town Absolution, with no memory, a weird wound and a strange manacle on one wrist. Early on his journey of self-rediscovery, he discovers he’s wanted criminal Jake Lonergan, and that he was abducted by “demons” — like so many of Absolution’s inhabitants. Together with town boss Woodrow Dolarhyde (Ford), he and a posse set out to free their kidnapped loved ones from the strange creatures from “above the stars”...

For me though this is pushing where I can take my "suspension of disbelief". Shooting at aliens with six-shooters and shotguns comes off as kinda rediculous. Its not like they can launch the "...largest aerial battle in the history of mankind..." or anything. I'm guessing they somehow use the aliens technology against them and triumph with guile and guts. Probably paralleling situations here where primitive cultures fought off far more technologically advanced conquerors More

Daniel Craig? Meh. I've missed the Daniel Craig boat. But Sam Rockwell? I'm all over this bad boy like a rash.
Plus, does Bravestarr not spring to mind here? I had just been saying it was just asking for a full length film to be made about it. I guess this is as close as we'll get in the meantime...... If only it had one of a cybernetic breed of sentient equines with a gun affectionately known as Sarah Jane.
Yup, Bravestarr is what I thought back when I first saw More
I am very excited about this, but as someone said bout the trailer I'm hoping we see as much alien as we do of their ships, Daniel Craig needs to beat the shit out of an alien or I will be disappointed More

I'm very much looking forward to this film. I think the grouping of Daniel Craig, Sam Rockwell and Harrison Ford will work in addition to Olivia Wide; it's an intriguing cast to say the least! I do like films based on the wild west and one of my favourite films is "stonenbsp; For me this is a welcome sojourn into the genre but with a science-fiction twist of course. More

Me too - hadn't read or even heard about the source material until the movie announcement but it's one of those insane "of course, how come this hasn't been done before?" concepts.
Daniel Craig's always good value and while I don't think I've seen Olivia Wilde's previous work I've seen plenty of pictures...even if she's just eye candy in the film then Favs has managed to get some damn good candy.
Harrison Ford is a real genius move though - hopefully this isn't another ste More
