Film synopsis Adapted from the semi-autobiographical novel, the plot follows an unnamed narrator who is largely ignorant of his own history, anxious to fit into Israeli society but also aware that he'll never quite be a part of it. The narrator wins a place at an Israeli boarding school and assumes the Jewish-Israeli identity of a friend who's confined to his home.
