Film synopsis Biopic: Fleming was born into wealth, the son of an MP, and attended Eton and Sandhurst before heading off to study languages around continental Europe. Come 1939, he was recruited to work as the personal assistant to the head of Naval Intelligence, and served throughout World War II in various intelligence posts - giving him the grounding to create James Bond afterwards, which he did in 1953 with the publication of Casino Royale, spawning 13 sequels and of course the film franchise.
