RE: OH NO
I just watched HBO First Look at Sherlock Holmes and even though some people think the trailers are cheesy, the actual scenes are really cool. There is more of Sherlock's intellectual side too, which the trailers are leaving out. There's this one part where Robert Downey Jr is actually telling this guy to punch him very hard in the stomach, the guy does and Downey being the Wing Chun Kung Fu man that he is doesn't even flinch! He is so fast in the fights, which look awesome. It just looks like ... Read More
Robert Downey Jr was onaham Norton Showight and they showed a clip from the bare-chested fighting, shows a little how they'll demonstrate Holme's thought process (at least for this scene)...

This looks awesome, and funny too, these types of movies always need humor. Robert Downey Jr, rules! I like everyone in this cast, especially RDJR and Rachel McAdams. ... Read More
Elementary. I'm looking forward to this. RDJ is fantastic, Mark Strong is quality, and could this be the first ever film where I don't mind Jude Law? We shall see. ... Read More
Hmmm, I watched the trailer last night and I actually think Ritchie might pull it off. It looks good, so glad for Mark Strong to finally get more roles - RDJ is a better actor than people give him credit for, if the accent worked in Chaplin it will work in Sherlock Holmes ... Read More

Having read a few Sherlock holme books in the past. I was very excited to hear that they are going to make a new sherlock holmes movie, but when I wacthed the trailer my heart sank, sherlock holmes is about very clever murder mysteries, it is almost like CSI that it is all about crime solving. but in the hands of hollywood they have made it into a run of the mill over the top action movie. why do they do this? why change it? I will have to say that I will probably never see thi... Read More
I've seen a couple of trailers for this and I'm quite looking forward to it. I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't look like it's going to be a 'traditional' portrayal of Holmes, but so far it's looking like a good Victorian London romp, and I was very impressed with what I've seen of Law's Watson. Very promising. ... Read More
Hi there,
Have you checked out the online game they have made to tie in with the upcoming Sherlock Holmes movie? http://www.221b.sh
It seems to be official, as both Robert Downey Jnr and Jude Law are featured in the intro.
Have actors ever been used in this way? Not sure, but it looks pretty cool.
Anyhoo, just thought you might be interested.
Take care,
Ashley

Looks good as an action movie but it has not much to do with the well-known stories and character of Sherlock Holmes. This one looks more like James Bond than Holmes. I totally agree with "moomania"! ... Read More
