I too hope they stay away from Khan.  I'd be more than happy with some kind of Klingon mischief, but Khan would feel a little too neat, as if the new movies were simply replacing all tha's gone before.  As it stood at the end of Trek 11 everything that had previously happened to Kirk and Spock in Nimoy/Shat timeline still exists, I kinda liked that. If they re-do Khan, they might as well go the whole hog and bring back the whales in Trek 13.    As a side note, rewatchin... Read More

We already had Khan again in the form of Nero. The character is going to be comepletly different and while I liked the Space Seed episode I can't help but feel that if they are going to have a bad guy with no personal vendetta they would be as well to create a new guy from scratch. Everything that made Khan who he was came from 25 years of history that simply won't exist. ... Read More

I've a sneaking suspicion Khan is going to be in the sequel as the commentary says they planned to end the film with a shot of the Botany Bay but that would give the game away for the sequel or tie them into it at least. Wouldn't be surprised if Klingons kidnap a scientist who is developing a Genesis device prototype and Kirk has to rescue her and as a result meets his future wife. ... Read More
