SHREK THE THIRD (2007)
Genres:

Plot
With the frog-king (Cleese) dying, it dawns on Shrek (Myers) that he’s next in line to be monarch – something he’s keen to avoid. When he sets off to track down the only other living heir, Fiona’s cousin Artie (Timberlake), Prince Charming (Everett) unites all the fairy-tale world’s bad guys and takes Far, Far Away by storm. Even worse, Fiona (Diaz) tells Shrek she’s pregnant…

I saw the preview last night, and I have to say I did enjoy it, but it doesn't touch the previous two installments. There is less for adults, and the jokes are few and far between. The trailer spoils quite a few of the funniest jokes as well... It has to be pointed out however, that the kids that were in the cinema watching this KIDS movie, seemed completely happy and entertained. 2 stars is harsh, I'd give it 3. ... Read More

2 stars? I hear you
I saw Shrek 3 in the States, and it is really not funny. Apart from a few minor gags in the later part of the movie. All the jokes have been done before (especially the Charlie's Angels thingy). Timberlake's character is a piss-poor job as is Fiona. What happened to her? Shrek is becoming less and less of the lovable yet disgusting ogre he used to be. Oh, I'll stop because my writing about just makes my experience worse and worse ... Read More

Isn't this getting old?
I loved the first film, and the second one was almost as good as it's predecessor. But the gags can surely only carry so far before we end up with another Spiderman 3 on our hands; something painfully old and stretched out far longer than it can supposed to reach. ... Read More

Shrek the Third
No-one else that excited then?   The trailer looks really funny and the audience reaction when it was shown before I saw Spider-Man 3 the other day was great. A universal “ahhh” went up when Puss did his patented bow with hat.   Looking forward to the Donkey/Puss body swapping, has plenty of potential, as does the Princesses vs Charming and his scary tree crew! ... Read More

The second one was funny so the third should be just as good. Hey, shrek must be doin' somethin' right if it warrants a 4th film and a spin-off. Also does anyone know anything about Pixars upcoming Wall-E? All I know is that its based on a robot kid named Wall-E (a play on the name Wally) and that its a 2008 release, anyone got anymore plot info? Email me knorrh87@hotmail.com ... Read More
