This looks quite good now that I've got used to the animation. SOOOOO nice to see an animated film that isn't soulless CGI. But what is it with the American voices? Roahl Dahl was a great author and everything but this film looks very very strange, the animation seems way too slow and tbh could be better. I know stop motion is like that but I just don't think it was a wise decision, although I could be wrong. Going to wait for a review before I think about going to see it ... Read More

I love the book but the animation looks like shit. I admire the look of the characters, but the way they move is awkward and jerky. This looks like it was made in the 1950s. The stop-motion in Coraline was much smoother and more fluent! ... Read More
