The Hunger Games

Film synopsis In a future version of North America a small, wealthy city rules over the rest of the impoverished nation. Every year, a number of the country’s youngest inhabitants are randomly selected to fight to the death in The Hunger Games. This year, Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) will change the game.

g Fire e delayed due to problems in negotiations with Gary Ross and Jennifer Lawrence's schedule. Ross appears to be holding out for more money and Lawrence's commitments to /i]could scupper filming plans. www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/hunger-games-gary-ross-c atching-fire-twilight-307622ionsgate could easily go with another director but they'd have a much harder job replacing their leading lady  More

Hollywood isn't goin to go near the kind of material present in Battle Royale...  More

I really don't see how they can stay true to the book, I'd be amazed if they don't have to tone down the violence or the bleakness of the book, but going by the trailer I'm intreagued. 'd envision a PG-13/12A rating, I can't imagine they would go any higher than that and miss out the lower teen demographic, which will mean a rather significant toning down of the violence.
