Genres Drama, Comedy, Action, Romance, Fantasy, Western Film synopsis Jesse Custer - a disaffected small town Priest - finds himself inhabited by a heavenly being called Genesis, the arrival of which kills his entire congregation and burns down his church. Pissed off, surly and with his newly granted power he calls the 'word of God,' Custer sets out to find God and make him answer for the state of the world. Joining forces with a 150-year-old Vampire, Cassidy, and the love he left behind to join the ministry, Tulip, Custer must fight against the many enemies, including The Grail, a secret and all powerful religious organisation, and the Saint of Killers - an unstoppable killing machine born in the Wild West and let loose by God with guns that never miss - in a trip that will take him back and forth across America and to the heart of his personal and religious beliefs. Based on the graphic novel by writer Garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon.

If he fucks up the movie of my favourite comic book ever, I will kill him. I mean, actually kill him. Sam Mendes was the perfect choice, why on earth did he drop out? Smart, considered, and, bizarrely very spiritual filmmaking. In other words, perfect for this project. What does Caruso know? He knows how to rip off Hitchcok. Badly. As for comparing this to Watchmen, they are completely different and both very good in their own ways.
