| SGT. ROCK | | Arial"]First things first, SGT. ROCK is one of Snake-Eyes favourite comic characters due to the fact that the stories are pure kick-ass, old-skool action set in WWII, they make sense in that way (just as Jonah Hex is a Western). so I read this today - http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/11/09/francis-lawrence-ta kes-sgt-rock-intothe-future/
eady, the character has been ruined. 'set in the future', or 'a future'? directed by CG-reliant Francis Lawrence? (his 'Zombie-Vampire things' in I AM LEGE More Posted by Snake-Eyes at 07:29, 10 November 2009 | Report This Post | | | | | RE: WWII To Get 300 Treatment?! | |
Here's the latest on SGT ROCK which could be an R rated, blood fest 300 style if this article is anythign to go by;
success of Sony's Ghost Rider movie proved anything, it was that B-list comic book characters can be turned into successful films — Spider-Man's not the only game in town, after all. And one such B-lister who might be getting his chance at Hollywood stardom very soon is DC Comics' World War II hero Sgt. Rock.

di Bonaventura hopes Wahlberg will play Conrad "Duke" Hauser in the story, field commander and More Posted by Timon at 11:13, 06 March 2007 | Report This Post | | | | | Willis All The Way | | Nuff said More Posted by georden at 22:33, 02 January 2007 | Report This Post | | | | | RE: Sgt Rock - DC Comics Goes To War! | | Crowes a nice idea but he just such an arsehole i'd want to see him get shot in the face in the first five minutes .Willis is a natural at playing stocky hungover working class tough guys who can take a beating .If it's by silver and based on a less mature comic who wants realism? Just go for a movie in the style of The dirty dozen but with a modern day action factor . For those that don't know, Sgt Rock was created decades ago by Bob Kannigher and were popularized mostly thanks to comics icon Joe Kubert. After initially appearing in the military comic "Our Army at War," Sgt. Rock later received his own title from DC Comics. Rock was meant to be an Everyman hero, a mythic yet still very real American soldier that the boys in uniform could identify with and look up to. Rock has been around for a few More Posted by Timon at 16:18, 27 April 2006 | Report This Post | | | | | RE: Sgt Rock | | Bruce willis.....that's all I'm sayin for now.
