Watched this yesterday, it was miles better than the disgracefully bad Saw 2.
Ok there were faults as in all horror movies, when aren't there? But the tortures were original, like the bloke with all the hooks in him and the girl frozen to death, also the bloke who nearly drowned in mushed up cows
So when Saw IV out??

This is right at the point when the series became boring Saw VI would have to be brialliant to make up for all that crap

Well I watched this film with great expectations considering the originality of the first two films but alas I was disappointed, all the film contained was traps, as elaborate as they were I still think that they are loosing the story to the gore, horror isn't all about the gore anymore, it might have been in the 80's but we want more of the why as well as how, and what there was of the story didn't really relate to the previous films. Disappointed but not turned off.

After the disappointment of the second coming, not much hope was held out for the series' 3rd installment. However, clearly the filmmakers have attempted to acknowledge and rectify flaws critics pointed out in the second film. And whilst they have upped the gore and brutality stakes yet again, the story is somewhat cleverer, with an intriguing final twist and scene which was capitalized on (raped) in the sequels. Not a masterpiece, by any means, but it's a barely solid genre offering that is never dull and always ridiculously gruesome.

A brilliant way to end the Saw franchise.

Saw III does little beyond repeating its predecessor's tropes on a mare horrific and unpleasant gorier level.

Just like Jigsaw, the storyline in the Saw series is starting to die. This would actually make a fitting conclusion, but the disappointing ending and straight-forward plot brings Saw III from a insightful thriller to basic torture-porn. Though if you like that kind if stuff, you're in for a gory treat, just don't expect anything new.
