American composer Thomas Newman will be scoring the new James Bond film, "Skyfall", due out later this year. It will be his first 007 adventure.
Newman has been a long time collaborator with "Skyfall" helmer Sam Mendes, having scored four of the directors other films: "American Beauty" (1999), "Road to Perdition" (2002) [which also starred Daniel Craig], "Jarhead" (2005) and "Revolutionary Road" (2008).

I have just seen this news! Where the fuck have I been?
I like Arnold but don't mind a new composer. I remember Arnold, in a dvd extra about score, saying that his favourite part of doing Bond is using the theme. He said having the theme turn up in action scenes is what makes a Bond film (I'm paraphrasing). Then he was asked not to do this in the Daniel Craig films. He could have turned the gigs down, but I think he did it because he really does enjoy scoring Bond.
