Might be a good thing.
Considering the current rise is bllody, gory movies just now this might a good time to throw to class cgi, sfx at what is a bloody good story.
They would have to somehow remove from the abominations that followed at besmirched the original film.

The greatest British horror movie of the last 30 years (despite Empire giving that accolade to the rather average 28 Days Later) does not need a remake. I want to see Barker's final Pinhead story from Scarlet Gospels made into a movie, not retreading old ground like this. If he was going to do anything to it, why not give him the money for a special edition and let him redo the optical effects if they bother him that much? Ah well, it's his baby, I guess he knows what he's doing...

I couldn't care less about the remakes of Texas Chainsaw... or The Omen, i was with the "At least we have the originals" camp. But come on, dose this really need to be remade? The low budget feel was one of the things that made it scary. And it still holds up today, this is the only horror film that still scares the crap out of me. Lets just hope they still use Doug Bradley.

remakes recently have been mixed, the omen, shit! Posiden better! But surely a remake wih the original creative force behind it pretty much has too be good. And if it isnt, well i really dont know how it could be bad!

There's absolutely no point in this film being remade, another classic that should be left alone, and more proof that the film industry are just running out of ideas. However it's good Clive Barker is involved, as he said, to make sure its not fucked up by some other twat

I totally agree. There should be some rule to protect classics from the reach of the remake. Hollywood should stop plundering greats and look for the next new thing, just take a chance that's it of anyone needs me i'll be in the angry dome

Rewatched Hellraiser a few months back and it hasn't aged well.
It wasn't all that scary either but as Merly said a waste of time.
