Really pleased for Torres (especially given his comments about not feeling part of the Champion's League winning side) and probably more so for Ivanovic given how the news he wouldn't be playing in the final last year was broken to him.

And Chelsea will probably sell him in the summer...

Will you change your CL av to one of your players with the Europa cup now, Skiba?

Yes we may very well sell him. Though if his goal tally keeps going up by eleven we might want to hang on to him and his 33 goals next season.

Erm...not sure! Was thinking of going back to Spinal Tap after this year's CL final but if this is Frank's last trophy with us (looks as if he is staying), then I will!

How did Ba get a medal? Mind, at least he showed a bit more class than Terry by wearing a suit.
Must say though, despite the fact that I'm never pleased to see another team win something, I can't help but admire Lampard - what a pro. And a fantastic player to boot.

Well done to Chelsea.

Regarding the image above, did those two defenders cook him breakfast and bring him his slippers in the morning. I can't believe how well they've looked after him there.

The fact he took over from Robbie has been a big factor, one of our own booted for the “enemy” if you like even if Rafa had never been manager of Liverpool I believe the reaction would have been similar, though nowhere near as hostile.

That's how I feel... also Benitez is a friggin fruit-job.

Ehh? most Chelsea fans have always stuck with him.... he was like theold Torres last night.

Well done to all. (Including Rafa)

Rafa is saying that you will splash a hundred million on 3 or 4 summer signings. Exciting times, huh?

I expect that is the clearest indication to date that Mourinho will be going back there.

Its a shame that Chelsea / Abramovich were not able to pick a manager and stick with him for longer than a few months in the intervening period. Because the fact that Mourinho is one of the best managers out there, doesn't necessarily make him one of the best options for Chelsea imo. I just can't see what has changed since he was last there and think that both he and Abramovich are unlikely to move too far to accommodate each other over time.

The leaks were that Abramovich didn't like Mourinho's style of football. Now, Chelsea seem reasonably settled with 3 attacking players off the front man, but is Mourinho really going to go attack attack attack every game? I know that Real had some big wins, but the gap in standard between Real and some of the other teams in la liga can be stark.

Then there were the players that Abramovich bought that Jose didn't want. Is the owner really going to stop tinkering? I don't see that.

So, I can see that some small moves could be made on each side. I could imagine that Chelsea will be a threat next season. But if we go longer than 2 or 3 seasons without another fall out I'll be amazed.

He'll be a bit-part player from next season I reckon in the mould of Giggs and Scholes have been at Utd, but its only fair to reward him with a contract update.
