There’s still tonight and the possibility of Benítez being given a 7 year contract if we win…

Great post on the other page Impy

Rafa has to be given credit, of course, for getting us to the final and qualifying for the CL...his rotation of the squad has been a major factor in that. It has cost us points too, though. Southampton being one, and a few others that I can't thing of off the top of my head. He can't win there though with the amount of games involved this season.

Don't forget that Rafa went a bit nuts at Liverpool and was sacked, a club that up until recently didn't sack managers. He took over a very good team at Inter that won the CL and three Serie A's, was then out of a job for 18 or so months. So it's not just those comments that he did or didn't make.

Nice marking from us so far! Jeez...are we playing with full backs today?

And why are there crop circles in the area?

Remember last season, Ferguson couldn't cope with the Europa League on Thurs and PL at the weekend. So this is an achievement.

But I still don't think Rafa is the right solution for Chelsea. Someone posted that RdM can't be that good as no one's picked him up since he got the boot. Well, it's not like Rafa's phone was ringing off the hook before Chelsea.

Meanwhile Chelsea looking to keep Benfuca's dream alive, who have lost more finals than Torres has missed sitters since he joined ;-)

I think that when a manager is sacked mid-season, his former club won't allow him to manage another club while he's still being paid...might be the case with RdM

Giving away too many niggly free kicks...Ramires is well off the pace at the moment

Is Torres finally going to get some credit from Chelsea fans?

I don't think the Benfica goal was offside.  He arm maybe, but you can't score with your arm as we are so often reminded!

Ramires needs to come off...he can't play that advanced wide role very well.

The only thing Ramires does leads to the corner for the goal! Now, where's JT to pick up the trophy?

Congrats Chelsea and especially Rafa, but I think Benfica were much the better team.  Their passing and combination play was sublime.  I'd say they had 75% of the game. Chelsea did well to hang in there and grind it out.

Could tell after about 10 minutes chelsea were gonna win. Just like last season. Getting played off the park and then bag two simple goals. Are Chelsea the worst good team in football? As in, tons of great players, but always play shit and still win?

I have this feeling that he might turn up to random children's parties, weddings and other events in his kit.

I'd like to think that after all the shit he got for it at the CL final he's just doing it again as a 'Fuck You' joke...doubtful!

Do you think that if Chelsea win a cup in 2053, OAPJT will Zimmer his way onto the pitch in his kit?

Really pleased for Torres (especially given his comments about not feeling part of the Champion’s League winning side) and probably more so for Ivanovic given how the news he wouldn’t be playing in the final last year was broken to him.
