Don't understand the sympathy for Frank, he's getting his just deserts for being an unprofessional prick with AvP.
If I was Roman neither him, Terry or Cech would be getting another deal out of me.

Hmm I’m not hugely confident of a result today if only because our home form has been poor (the occasional 8-0 aside) since mid-October…

Torres looks about 12 with his new haircut. Hopefully the years will roll back...

I find the "truth" hard to unpick with regards to Frank. I can look at it both ways:

- He wants to play every game. When he does not play every game he not only sulks, but has his people stir it up in the media and goes over the manager's head to complain. He also wants a very high wage and Chelsea are unwilling to offer this, therefore he will go to the MLS (or other high payer) and by having the media put about that Chelsea are not negotiating it makes this a very sympathetic move for him.

Or

- He's Mr Chelsea. When he sees things are going wrong he is not afraid to do whatever it takes to have them put right and bring more success to the team. He has an amazing record for Chelsea. He can still do it at the highest level and Chelsea are complete idiots for not looking at Paul Scholes, seeing that Chelsea need experience as well as youth and signing him up for another 3 years.

I see on the other hand that everyone's favourite nob, has quietly signed up for another year with the team.

And I hope today is a cracker. Both teams imo have lacked commitment this season to get results. Ba on the bench so I'm going for him to come on and win it for the team. 2-1.

Ooooh he is so good. Coquelin might have been on the floor, but I still want Mata's babies.

Great goal and all yeah but definitely shouldn't have stood after the foul on Coquelin.

Diaby is so far off match fitness it's not even funny.

Wow. Chelsea already 2-0 up via a Lampard penalty! How costly will that Giroud miss prove?

I think it was a chance, rather than a miss if you get my meaning. Pretty much all Arsenal have had in the game though, they need to nip one before half time, but you'd see more chance of one going the other way. Arsenal toothless so far.

Giroud has actually been one of our better performers (relatively speaking), putting himself about and finding the occasional bit of space. Walcott (how can a speed-based wannabe centre-forward be so bad at judging the offside trap??) and Cazorla have been poor though, and the Diaby/Coquelin midfield partnership is getting annihilated by Mata, Hazard and Oscar's movement.

Wow 200k per week for Ashley. Nearly made me crash my car when I heard that ;-)

I swear Abramovich has done that just to piss Frank off.

Niall Quinn is a right numpty as a pundit. "it's a game of two halves, two seperate halves." and then he gives the MoM to Ramires!

Shaky stuff in the 2nd half...

Given that the news about Pep is now old hat, who do you think will be Chelsea's manager next season. The main names in the ring right now seem to be:
- Rafa
- Laudrup
- Zola
- Jose

I can't see Jose going back (but this is Chelsea, so who knows really). So of the others I'd be going for Laudrup. I'm sorry, putting aside the history with Rafa before he joined Chelsea, I just don't like him. And Zola would be a huge hit with the fans, but he hardly set the world alight with West Ham.

Right now I’d be more than happy for Rafa to stay if only for the novelty of having a manager for more than half a Season / 9 months. In my fantasy Hiddink doesn’t retire at the end of this Russian Season and comes back to us for an epic 3-5 year run…I personally wouldn’t want Zola legend though he is, Laudrup would be an interesting choice.

Jose, Jose, Jose if he came back it would probably end up more of a car crash than ever before a wonderful honeymoon followed quickly (2/3 months) by one of Hollywood’s messiest divorces, like Liz and Dick but with ice picks, uglier jewellery and larger bank accounts. I thought about Steve Clarke the other day but ignored it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has those kind of dreams. Oh sorry, I see what you meant now

I'm sure I read something about Hiddink not wanting to retire entirely from football, i.e. fancied an upstairs job, or mentoring a younger manager.

I like him a lot but I don't think he'll be back. I honestly have no real thoughts about our next Manager because I do not think whoever they end up being will last more than 18 months / 2 years unless RA has a drastic personality change.

I think Zola would be a disaster...any sane Chelsea fan would see beyond his status at the club and know he's far from ready. Laudrup had half a season so again too early. Jose is going to leave Madrid at the end of the season no matter what it seems so maybe, maybe.

I can see Rafa being given a 3 year deal but only lasting a year tops.

Swansea playing very well, particularly at the back...should get Luiz on at half-time (but Rafa doesn't do subs then) for Oscar as the lad has not been able to get in to the game. Think this might free up a bit of space if Ramires pushes forward a bit.

I think this should be a cracking 2nd half. Chelsea need to go for this as Rafa needs to get a bit of silverware if he's going to win over the fans and secure his job.
