Interesting game for Chelsea tonight on a long trip to the Ukraine where Shakhtar are hard to beat. A point would be good for Chelsea and should leave the group in an interesting position with Juve Shakhtar and Chelsea all on 5 points after 3 games.

Poor performance. But Shakhtar are tough to beat and a hard trip. Juve doing you favours by not winning. Big Frank must be in his last season, starting to pick up injuries on a regular basis now.

I would have been happy with a draw but we were very poor in the first half and only came to life late on. Fair play to Shakhtar they deserved the win. Lampard was unfortunate (I agree with your view though) but I was surprised he started; still we have to get ourselves regrouped for United on Sunday.

Juventus away will be tough also. Chelsea not a guaranteed banker to get out of the Group this season (though they'll probably realistically still do it).

We know how much the CL means to Abramovich and we also know he has an itchy trigger finger. So, should the reigning champions fail to progress from the Group Stages, would that be the end of Di Matteo? (though I think they will get through and I don't think they should replace him).

Much, much better last 15mins after looking horrendous in the first part. Will be amazed if there aren't any more goals

Chelsea deserved a goal, though it was a daft challenge from Rooney.

Overal the game has been manic.

I would be enjoying the game much more, if it wasn't for the spiralling depression that accompanies my attempts to imagine how good Arsenal would have been with Mata and van Persie.

Man Uniteds problem: too many English players.

Easily the best player in the league along with Cazorla. I've decided that every team in the PL needs at least one classy Spanish playmaker.

Ref got that one wrong with Torres. Don't know what it is with Evans but he's got away with tackles a couple of times this season

To be fair United should have had a blatant PK.
