Paul Newman is probably the most attractive leading man of all time and I'm a straight male.

Oh Paul Newman is so great! I love him as an actor so much and he's so attractive as well.  My favorit role of his must be Cool hand Luke. It's such a terrific movie and he's just perfect for it. "No one can eat fifty eggs" i have to say that that scene makes me sick thinking how terrible that must feel. But yeah one of the greatest actors of all time if i get anything to say with it...

A great actor. One of my favourites, with a whole string of memorable performances. He was particularly excellent in Hud, The Hustler, Somebody Up There Likes Me and Hombre. He was perfect as the ageing gangster John Rooney in Road To Perdition

He was the best thing about The Hudsucker Proxy (and that's saying something).

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is definately one of my fav Newman films. It was my mum's fav film as a kid and she made me watch it when I was about 5, I've had a mad crush on him ever since!

If any of you have the Sundance channel, you should catch Newman's episode of Iconoclasts with Redford.  It's like watching two college friends reuniting with after not having seen each other in ages.  They're so cute together.  It's amazing they only did two films together.

The Verdict is an outstanding drama and features his best performance. This is the one he shoulda won the Oscar for.

He as also outstanding in The Road To Perdition. Where many of his contemparies have passed away or lost their magic touch, he proved he could still turn in a dynamite performance.

100% agree, this was the role he waited all those years for and he fucking nailed it.....and then some.

I havn't seen it in a long time (note to self, watch this again soon!)

whilst very cliched, Newman makes it his own from the outset, yeh he's a drunk (and a good one at that) deep down you can sense a passion, a verve, a need to bring himself back from the brink and Newman fucking NAILS it. Yes he deserved the Oscar IMO.

The Sting is one of my favourite films.  I love Newman and Redfords witty chemistry, they work so perfectly.  I hope there is some truth in the rumours that they are to work together one final time.

I watched The Hustler one night when it was on late, I loved every bit of it.  Cool Hand Luke is brilliant as well, the dry humour he gives to character is fantastic!

Most definelty one of todays living legends, closing in on 85 and still going strong.  That is something else.

His performance in The Hustler is amazing, and he makes it one of my all time favourite films effortlessly. Amazing.

Eyes of Sapphire, enormous presence as an actor nearest we ever got to Adonis in human form

Most of the characters he plays end up on a downward spiral, but nonetheless he's makes it powerful to watch. Has played some mighty cool characters in his day!

Love Paul Newman, he's brilliant.  All those films mentioned above are great and he's great in them.  Has anybody seen a film of his called 'Nobody's Fool'?  It's a little gem from the mid nineties where he plays a small town handyman who lives with a former teacher of his (Jessica Tandy).  He's absolutely superb in it and it has great performances from the supporting cast too, Bruce Willis, Melanie Griffith (really!), Pruitt Taylor Vince & Philip Seymour Hoffman.  Check it out if you haven't seen it - a little known classic.
