ORIGINAL: TobiasFunke I think the concept of an entertainment hub that can be used for 10 or so years is brilliant, and it probably would be a good investment in the long run, but I'm just not impressed at all with PS3. Some of the biggest games, such as GTA IV and Devil May Cry IV, will be available on other consoles; the graphics are pristine but the difference between PS3 and 360 isn't jaw-dropping; and hyped elements of the console, such as the controller and PS3 Home, are ideas which have clearly been nabbed from elsewhere. Plus, good investment or not, there are few people who can afford to spend nearly £500 (console + seperate game) on one purchase. Well actually if you buy the HD-DVD add on for the 360, it does exactly the same and more, it'll play games, high definition movies, music etc but also on the 360 you can download and watch high definition movies, tv shows and music (videos). Well in America, though if you have a US account you can still do it, and the service is on it's way to the UK. It's also going to be an IPTV set top box too. As for the 360 and PS3 graphics, the difference between the two actually falls in favour of the 360, the PS3 may be able to produce better in the end, but at the moment if you look at any sites comparing videos or side by side pictures of the 360 and PS3 versions of games the 360 ones look better, mainly because of the lighting effects looking more impressive on the 360.
