Woah woah woah, where did you guys find out that the rapist storyline is only going to last 9 episodes?

I read it in an interview with Rob Thomas somewhere. The second mystery is supposed to last 7 episodes with the third lasting 6. Would have made sense for the first two mysteries to equal 13 episodes in case that's all that get made but nevermind.

thats seems realy stupid, I mean what if they don't get picked up for the other 9 episodes, then they'd have to cut second mini mystery down to 4 episodes, then what?
edit - did anyone else think the music sounded more sort of, well, scratchy in episodes 1 & 3

Re epi 3 - did anyone else think they were just a bit pointed with the Jack London/poison guy at the end? Camera virtually skirted over the other info guy - but not him.

VM seems to be doing well enough to secure a full series. Hopefully we'll hear for sure soon

Great episode this week with all three seperate storylines holding interest. Logan's was quite moving and the last scene will certainly put a tear in your eye, showing us a different side to Logan. Also could we be seeing a new love interest for Keith? Hope so. Dick was as awesome as always as well.

What's with all the spoilers and guessing?  You actually want to spoil the mystery for yourselves?

I just saw the new credits on youtube and the music sucked big time.  I liked the images but revamping the music was utterly unneccesary.

Can anyone point me to a decent quality site where I can watch season 3?  PM me.

Loved ep 4, Logans storyline was great, the rapist thing seems to be heating up, but alas no Mac, Piz, Sherrif Lamb or Weevil this week. Ah yes Keiths possible new love intrest, lets hope that becomes something more later in the season, oh yeah was Wallace in this ep? I for one want to see the return of Wallaces little brother (I think we all remember the hillarious "you hittin' that" from early S2) anyways bring on episode 5!
EDIT - seriously doesn't anyone else think that the intro sounds different sometimes, lets compare

s3 intro - sound 1
s3 intro - sound 2

Did anybody watch Just Shoot Me? Nice to see the main relationship being reunited on Veronica Mars in the form of Keith/Harmony.

What spoilers? Their isn't much talk in this topic unfortunately!

It's a shame that due to budget constraints we don't see a lot of characters for stretches of time (ie Wallace in Season 2). But a fair amount of the series regulars are only contracted for 12 of the 22 episdoes (should it be renewed) so it's going to happen a lot. IIRC, the only actors contracted to be in every episode are Kristen Bell (natch), Enrico Colantoni and Jason Dohring. Wallace should really be in every ep though, his friendship with Veronica has been sorely downplayed.

And I imagine some of the main characters aren't appearing much now because they're going to be major parts of one of the other mysteries.

I always wondered why they wouldn't feature characters for ages, cheers for clearing that up.

Finished S2 so I'm downloading "Welcome Wagon" just now. It's going nice and fast.

Watched the 1st episode. Thought it was very good - even enjoyed the new titles. The stand-alone mystery didn't wrap up in any extraordinary way but it was entertaining enough, and I much preferred the scenes with Keith and What's-His-Face Fitzpatrick. That particular storyline had a very surprising cliffhanger too. Great scene with Dick turning up at Logan's door too. As people have previously said, it was nice to see a darker side to Dick.

So a very good start to S3. Downloading E02 just now.

I thought episode 5 was just super. Down with the feminist conspirators! Nice mystery of the week too.

http://www.veoh.com/channel/veronicamars

is a new channel to find the previews, and other videos :)

Anyone else not enjoying VM quite as much this series? It is still good, but I do think it has lost a lot from ditching the complexities of previous seasons. VM just seems very cold a lot of the time too - am finding it difficult to warm to her this season and a couple of times she's really pissed me off as a character. Wasn't helped by me working out immediately who had committed the Casino robbery - thought it was obvious. Ah well, it is still good, just not great.

Yeah I agree with you. I knew who committed the casino robbery because I recognised the rent a cop as a series regular in Sleeper Cell. But I'm hoping it'll pick up steam soon.

Finally got round to watching Episode 5, definitly one of the better epiosdes this season, I realy enjoyed the mini mystery of the episode, and glad to see Sheriff Lamb and Weevil make a return, I know it's already been explaned why they do this, but it realy piss' me off the way at least 2 or 3 people from the main credits dont appear during an episode, what was it this week, no Mac, Parker, Piz or Dick, BRING BACK MAC!!!

Really liked this weeks episode, great to see the Lawyer back (what's his name again). Also really liked the mystery of the week as it was made more personal for Veronica with her neckless being stolen. However the best bits were with Wallace, nice to see him without Veronica and seeing that not all the characters are fully adapting to life at Uni. Although I do wonder where Veronica finds the time to actually do any work, given all the detective work she does. Yes this season isn't as good as previous years but it has to find its feet now that the format has slightly changed with them heading off to college (Buffy stumbled slightly at this point as well).

Still yet to see the first episode as i'm waiting for the arrival of broadband after moving (again) but have watched the new credits on youtube, very weird. Im hoping i'll like them better when I see the whole episode but i'm unsure at the moment.

Still doesn't change the fact that this is the show i've been waiting for since May, more so than Lost and Prison Break and the fact you guys are giving it positive comments pleases me

I'm liking Pizz more with each passing episode and i can see something developing between him and Veronica, great having Lamb as a regular - loved the robot dance in ep 5
"does Veronica Mars think the bad guy should be arrested?
"does not commute!"

I agree Veronica appears more detached this season, primarily because there's no personal connection driving the mystery this time round.

Like others I was a little unimpressed with the way the season was going but the latest episode will hopefully be the turning point.  Also, I can only see the season getting better and better from what I've heard about the second season arc.

Anybody looking forward to Fanboys (IMDB) expected early next year?  There's some interesting promo pictures released that I'm sure will delight all Kristen Bell/Star Wars fans.

Yeah the season has been disappointing thus far, but a disappointing episode of veronica mars is still far better than most TV shows.
Someone told me they changed networks in the US for season 3. I guess that accounts for the lack of swearing, I loved that the characters would drop the odd curse now and then.

Weevil seems to have lost the ability to act this season.
Still one of my favourite shows though!

Don't think this has been posted yet but Veronica Mars has had an extra episode order making the season 16 episodes long now. Rob Thomas is apparently working on the principle he will get a full season though.

Sounds promising
