 I work at game, we got most of our 360's delivered this morning. Shame we have to wait till friday to sell them.

Don't know if it has been mentioned but King Kong on the 360 pod is not a 360 game. It is original X-Box code but with quick and very temporary 360ness added.

 None of the games at the moment really appeal to me.
So im gonna wait for something good that i will play to come out then buy the xbox 360, also maybe by the time a game that i want to play comes out then the xbox 360 will be cheaper to buy.

im gonna get murdered come dec 2nd, im in charge of the games dep in a HMV and we took 57 preorders only to find out that we're getting 4 consoles! im gonna get strangled by someone friday! not our fault though we were promised wed get however many we ordered,fucking ridiculous release strategy from microsoft, and yesterday we found out the great news that you wont be able to walk into a shop and buy one again until........EASTER 2006!!! theres gonna be a lot of mad people come christmas morning i can tell ya!

So Microsoft's strategy of being first out of the blocks is technically a load of bollocks because by the time they will be freely available the PS3 will probably be out.

I didnt expect to have to wait 4 months if i hadnt pre-ordered!

Majority of people wanting the xbox 360 are existing xbox gamers. The vast majority of gamers most likely own a PS2 and will be waiting until the PS3 is released. Sure I can understand not getting one before christmas but its an overly excessive wait to Easter.

I have a feeling that this is one big PR stunt to stir the interest - cos lets face it, everyone is talking about it

Wow! I saw a couple of young scallywags playing it in GAME this afternoon and it looked proper good from about 15 feet away, infinitely better than the PS2 demo I'd played. So if that wasn't the 'proper' version then roll on the proper version.

I was more impressed by the fact that the telly they use on those demo pods appeared to be the Samsung R41B, looked like the 23" version. I'm chuffed to bits 'cos it looked the business and the 32" version is going to be winging its way to me within the next 2 days!

 I'm looking forward to getting mine in January. Allows me to consider what I'm going to get with it. Also hopefully any problems might have been fixed from the launch models such as the heating problem - though that's just a hope rather than a likelihood.

People can only see the intial launch, does anybody know what we can expect games wise after launch - you know a few months down the line?

Far from hope, they will have to correct the problem, otherwise it will only cost them money as they make faulty power supplies, then people will demand replacements and they will have to make them.

What is it with this Samsung? Seems to be the LCD Televsion to have at the moment, it's flying off shelves everywhere!

 From what I have heard the best place to check for a 360 (and this includes the premium pack) is PC World , Tesco and Asda. Avoid Comet and Dixons, possibly try Game if you can settle for a core system.

Yeah, I saw  a man on the way back from ASDA. He had a Tesco jacket on, I pulled over and cornered him. I asked him if they were only getting the Core units in and he said that it was true, but to be honest I think he was just saying that because he thought I had an erection.

I asked Karen in a very famous supermarket *taps arse* if they would be getting any 360s in on Friday, she looked over my shoulder, leaned in and said "follow me", I did as I was told. The only people moaning were the people who bought one on launch day then getting a big 100 pound price cut 1 month later due to shit sales. Luckily people who bought one on/near launch day got 2 free average games (I wanted JSRF dammit!) and a free controller.

I played Kong yesterday and found it pretty poor.

The one good side to everyone clamouring over the 360 is that I can pick up an X-Box on ebay for about £40 which would do me nicely (don't have one yet).

Well being a lifetime Rare follower (way back into the Ultimate: Play The Game era) I'll be getting Kameo and PDZ for launch, and PGR3 a little later.  So I'll let you know when I get bored of shooting folks in the guts with me Falcons, mateys.
