 Anybody else get their second letter from Game confirming that you can pick up your console on release date?? Received mine yesterday *cheers* so it looks like I won't be spending December 2nd sobbing uncontrollably

Same here.  Had about a 20 minute go on Call Of Duty 2 and wasnt too impressed.  Apart from it was running smooth and quick, the graphics werent anything to make you go down and beg for buttermilk, so much in fact I'd even go and say I've seen better on the Xbox.  The characters around you felt jerky and there was even a little "gun through the wall" every now and then.

This and the odd news of peoples consoles crashing in the states and having to have the "better version" console to play Xbox games and better content, just confirms to me that Microsoft have rushed it to beat its competitors and I'll be waiting till all the new gen concolses all out to make my decision.

Also, why isnt Half Life 2 out for the 360?  One of the best FPS ever aint coming out for the 360 but is for its slower brother, what's up with that?  That would've been a killer lauch title.

It can't handle the Half-Life. Probably. It was supposed to be on XBox 1.

I concur. 

I played Call of Duty today in Dixons, the hi def screen looks nice but might as well play it on the pc, it looks identical plus you have the superior mouse and keyboard controls.

Kameo seems alright, didnt really have time to get into it.

Ah yes...sorry, should have been clearer. It was in the brochure and wasn't in fact a letter at all, took me a couple of reads to discover that paragraph with those magical words of confirmation  anyone else slightly worried with all this talk about crashing and overheating?? I read on another website that the cause is apparently that beast of a power pack and if you keep it somewhere well ventilated or on a cold surface there shouldn't be a problem. I just really hope I don't encounter the problem full stop

 Didn't get a letter in the post from Game today, so I went and saw them and they confirmed I will be getting it at launch. Also got myself a HD ready tv so all I need is a HD cable and I'm all set  Condemned has also been dispatched

i'm getting mine launch day (full pack), with an extra wireless controller, and Perfect Dark Zero for £320. i'll definately get Call of Duty aswell, but i'll have to buy that myself, my parents are buying the rest. i may get Kameo but that depends how much left i have after my christmas present purchases.

but i'll probably have to wait another 23 days to play it :(

Fuck em both.
Same games with better graphics.
Seeing as most games these days appeal to the chav and pikey element. I don't give a toss for eithe console.
Especially when the first gen. invariably goes tit's up.
Although the 360 hasn't had this problem for the US launch.

 Hi all,

I walked in to Gamestation the other day only to find a 360 you could play on! i almost jump out of my skin, the game: King Kong and what can i say?..... apart from it was shit, Sony and the Ps2 could have done a better job, i was so unimpressed that i stopped playing after a short while and went and played on the PSP which was far better. The T-rex looked as if it had been rushed together and not what i would call next gen!
People save your money and just wait for the Ps3 is going to wipe the floor with this pile of crap

You cant judge the quality of a console, after playing only one game. Besides when games are made for mulitple platforms, they hardly ever stand out from one another.
Check out some more games before forming your opinions.
Gears of War for example.

My brother did indeed get his 360 last week as he'd hoped.
He didn't pre order as most shops in Tampa were selling on a first come first served basis.

He went to 5 different shops at around 7 pm only to find lots of long queues despite limited stock.
Eventually tried Target who were only getting 16 in to sell...... The queue had 13 people!!!
He waited in line for 12 1/2 hours as they didn't open until 8am the next day.

He got the core system and bought the hard drive separately, along with a Madden 06 and Call of Duty 2.   He's already taken Call of Duty back as he finished it in a day!!!!

Pre-ordered my 360 from Comet about a month ago. They sent a letter last week asking me to phone to confirm my order, so i rang up and they asked me which package i wanted so i told them the deluxe package (i found this quite strange as i had already told them which one i wanted when i went in). 

Apparently i was the tenth person to pre-order there so hopefully i should get one - i'm not bothered about getting it on release date as i have to wait til Christmas anyway.

 My local Game is getting 100 in, today I went in and told them exactly what I wanted so they could have it all ready for me on Friday. They have a few deals on, but the cheapest is about £400.

Condemned also arrived today and hopefully Perfect Dark Zero Special Edition should be dispatched from Amazon.co.uk soon. I'm picking up Kameo instore so Friday should be a good day for me

 7/10 from Edge isn't too bad, but I was hoping for so much more.    At least they praise the multiplayer which is what I most fondly remember about the original.  It's just a shame that Zero won't replicate the tremedous single player element of the N64 original.  Anywho, less than four days people!
