 Yeah, you can buy DLC or games on demand on the xbox website and it'll queue them to download to your console

 So Live is fucking up right now. Earlier and yesterday it was telling me that it connected to the internet but won't connect to Live. Which doesn't make a lot of sense. I can log into my Live account on the Xbox site right here. After resetting things and doing all the usual pointless tech support suggestions it then tells me it can't connect to my router. Which is a load of crap, I am using it to post here. I am using it for the PS3. And the other computer. And to read their crap tech support site. What the hell. To make things more annoying their site tells me I have one message from Live which I can only read from the Xbox.....

 Set the XBox up last night. Bit disconcerting having the Kinnect thingy following me about.... Had to go through loads of updates so didn't get a chance to play anything. It's all a bit confusing, need to work out the menus and stuff.

I did see that I can upgrade Skyrim to work with the Kinnect! That could be fun (or not for the neighbours)

Can't play it at the weekend either as off to the Emerald Isle to stay with the Sharks!

Oh, I got a free 1 months gold membership to Live. What are the benefits of that? Not going to start that until I know I can spend more time on the console.

Hobbitonlass, if you're not bothered about playing multiplayer/using the online apps i wouldn't bother buying a subscription.

As much as it pains me to say, they were quicker

At the moment I prefer the way the PS3 looks when you are logged in. Can you change the background of the XBox interface?

 It looks quite cool, but aimed at a younger audience than Halo was - but I guess Activision have COD for that crowd. There are a few things that instantly made me raise an eyebrow though - blatent co-op features so Activision can sell online passes etc, but It'll be cool to see what they come up with anyway.
