Some scans from Famitsu Xbox 360 have surfaced featuring shots of DOA4. The game looks mighty purdy an' all, but it's the lobby system that's got me intrigued. Rather than sitting about staring at a static screen whilst you wait for your turn in the fight, Team Ninja have you cavorting about wolfies, penguins, skelingtons, polar bears (from Lost?), Ninja-Boy, flutter-bys and lord knows what else. All whilst watching the carnage on an in game telly. It looks delightful! Check it out, bitch!

Well the US launch titles, according to IGN.com, the following titles will be available on launch day, (22 Nov) So i would expect they would be for us Brits as well,

It's unlikely considering that the games have already began shipping to stores in the US. I still think that its a strong launch line up, especially when compared to the history of launch line ups. Sure they're a bit sequelly, but its only the sports titles that are of the yearly update fodder. PGR3, Elder Scorlls IV and PD0 are sufficiently different to their predecessors to make them original enough in my eyes. The original IP is admitedly a little sparse, but Kameo and Condemned kinda make up for it. There's some good stuff on the horizon as well, what with Oblivion, Dead Rising and Frame City Killers on the horizon. Beyond that it's a bit barren which is a bit worrying, but I'm sure once the launch is out of the way Microsoft will start wafting new games at us. I 'ope.

i played a 360 for the first time today..im not particularly impressed to be honest...it plays like a hi res xbox...not really the leap forward in technology i was expecting...

Has it definitely been delayed in America? Seems a bit strange. I'd be surprised if it was delayed in the UK (Ya never know though) especially as consoles have been put in stores to play on.

Damn just done some checking and Dead or Alive 4 is delayed till next year

I was really looking forward to it.

So that/s Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero on launch and most likely Gun and Quake 4 for Christmas.

I played King Kong on the 360 today instore and it's very poor. The graphics look rough and the game plays like a PS1 game. I also had another go on Kameo, very nice it was too. The controls are a little odd, 4 main buttons change creature and the 4 shoulder buttons attack. Got the hang of it and it plays nicely.

Now, whilst I always take reviews with a pinch of salt, they are useful for gauging the quality of a title before you go out and spend your pennies. Kameo's first reviews have popped up online, and so far it seems the game is solid, impressive but not the immediate classic I've been hoping for for all these years (it was originally a GameCube title, remember). The reviews are here and here, and it's now a certain purchase for me on launch day.

Kameo has been top of my most wanted list for a very long time. Perfect Dark Zero should also be an essential purchase. With Dead or Alive 4 seemingly being delayed I'm not sure if I'll get Quake 4, Gun or something else.

i wanted to run out the shop with it lol its so light u will not

One of the most intersting parts of the 360s Live service will be the marketplace, where you'll be able to get all manner of downloads from new multiplayer maps, arcade games such as Gauntlet and Robotron, and new features for games. One of the first to emerge is an add-on for Kameo, just in time for Christmas:

Hi. I didn't want to start a new thread with this. I'm really tempted to go for a 360 on or around release, after about 15 years of Nintendo ownership, as I crave the slightly more "serious" side of gaming. I might get a Revo at a later date, mainly for the Mario/Zelda/Metroid franchises. What would you guys see as the benefits, especially multi-platform owners? Cheers in advance.

^ In reply to Marcus, yep, go for a 360 mate. I see the main benefits of owning one being the superb online play via Live, the launch line-up (You want 'serious' gaming? Project Gotham 3, Perfect Dark Zero, Call of Duty II & Quake 4.. All on launch) and the 360 doubling as a media hub. Just Awesome. I think each console has it's positives, but at the end of the day 360 wins because it has a better clutch of exclusives and unrivalled online play for a console, so yeah, it's a safe bet.

After scouring the internet, the only place i've found still taking pre-orders is Amazon, and even they're not guaranteeing you'll get it before Xmas.

Can anyone give me any definate information as to whether an Xbox 360 from USA will work over here????

I know I will have to buy a power adapter but will scart plug be same, will I be able to connect to internet, will the games work etc. etc.

Any knowledge would be massivley appreciated,
