Even if this play is overturned I can't see the Colts scoring in the time left, recovering an onside kick and then score again. Not gonna happen, bub.

NFL refs usually do well. Thats the benefit of TV replays and multiple officials.

Although that last call seemed a bit ify.

My god what a end to the game.

Made me laugh when Colts got tackled on 4th down on there own 2 yard line and the crowd started to leave, then the Steelers fumble the ball and all the crowd come running back in.

I was surprise that the field goal was missed by so much.

Best Game of the play-offs so far. Bears V Panthers has now got alot to live up to

It's sad when a team does as well as the Colts have this season and then go out in a game that doesn't do the season justice.I'm starting to go to sleep now, after last nights late games and no sleep cos the kids woke up at 7.I'll be watching the Bears game through hooded eyes. Night night.

Have a good sleep Baby Bear.

I shall be watching the start on the Bears game, then taping the rest and watching the rest tomorrow night (avoiding the net tomorrow) as I got to get up at 5.30 tomorrow so there's no way I can stay up till past midnight and stay awake during work

Didn't catch much of Saturday's games..... and missed the first half of the Steelers/Colts game - but what a freakin' awesome 4th Quarter!
I was shouting at the tv when Bettis fumbled and the Colts recovered the ball...... Can't believe that Vanderjagt missed that kick though.  It was like Beckham against Portugal - high, wide and not very handsome at all.

Saying that, the game should have been over earlier, had it not been for a shocking call by the referees on the Steeler interception.

Started to watch my Bears, but very quickly realised it wasn't going to be good viewing.
Giving away 7 points in the first minute wasn't the best of starts.
Grossman took too long to get going and that rock solid defence got torn apart.
I switched off at half-time, but was surprised to see this morning that there was only 7 points in it at the end.

Broncos v Seahawks in the SuperBowl then........

Just seen the highlights on ITV3 so apologies if my views are a bit late.

In broadcast order then:

I called the Denver game, not quite how I expected it to go, but ultimately the Pats were going to have one bad game in the playoffs and this was it.

Colts, miles off with that prediction. Once again Mr. automatic completely bottles it in the playoffs. I don't care how good his kicking % is Vanderjagt's a choker. Still didn't expect the Colts to get so man handled though, this year must be some sort of record for road wins in the playoffs.  That fourth down call was interesting to me, Manning was absolutely right to go for it on fourth down, but you don't go against your coach like that.

Seahawks made hard work of it, but will fancy their chances now that Indy are out. Obvious win really.

My Panthers are still in there, come on! Higher scoring game than I thought, but quite simply just give it to Smith!

I'm going with the Broncos from the AFC and......head says Seattle (assuming Alexander plays) heart says Carolina. With Alexander I'm swinging back to Carolina. They're the most experienced team left.

Sorry, bub.I think that the Panthers are now THE team to win Superbowl XL. Even though I'd love The Bus to win, and get MVP at the same time,,I just can't see anyone beating Carolina (except the Pats and they're now out!) Solid D, efficient offence, and OK special teams.

Pass interferance against Asante Samuel ,MY ARSE.

But, I really would like the Steelers to do it......
Actually, I'd like the Seahawks to do it as well....I'm so confused.

I had a nice sleep, thank you, jediwarrior, cheers. You?

No woke up at 4am and could not get back to sleep

Wow just finish watching the Bears game avoided the score all day

Good game nice high scoring game.

I don't know who's going to win it now. I think it quite open and it can be anyones this year. It all depends on the day who gets a lucky or bad call or a slice of luck with a fumble.

Yeah beaten by the Steelers in the Wild Card plus Palmer injuried on the second play of the game and might be out for up to 6 months

Only the top two teams from each conference don't go into the wild card, That was Colts and Broncos from the AFC and Seattle and Bears from the NFC.

I think the Bengals were 3rd or 4th Seed so they had home advantage but that don't always count for much in the Wild Card

Cruciate ligament damage is not pleasant. He should, with any hope, be back.

Oh well, best runs in bloody ages! Might actually start taking a bit more of an interest again.

Backing the Steelers and the Seahawks tonight. I can't believe the pundits are saying these were long shots at the beginning of the season. Couldn't that  lot see the quality in both teams this year? But, then again, I get stick for watching the game whilst possessing a set of ovaries! So, who am I to have an opinion......

I hope the Broncos get reamed.

I'm taping the late one, you think you're going to get any shut eye tonight?

The Seadorks (my team, so I'm allowed to take the piss) are only doing well because we are in a division with St Louis, San Fran and (Mexico's fave team) the Cardinals. I expect us to lose in the first round of the playoffs, AGAIN.

I take back everything I said.

Mike Holmgren has done a great job at turning us around (Only the 5th coach to take 2 franchises to the Show), Alexander finally answered the question of if he could do it in a big game (34 for 132 and 2 TD), Hasselbeck showing how sturdy he has been pretty much all season (I'll take sturdy over flash anyday, yes I mean you Michael Vick). Lofa Tatupu has to be a contender for Rookie of the Year, he has put up some good numbers for his first year.......hang on, am I complimenting the Seattle D#.......damn, I never thought I'd see the day.

I started supporting Seattle back in the 80s, so this has been a long time coming. Role on the 5th of Febuary.

As much as I would love to see Bettis get a Superbowl ring, there would only be one thing that could beat the sweet taste I have right now, come on SEAHAWKS.

Granted, he won the the players award, but THIS is the fans award. Not as prestigeous as the players award, but still, Lofu deserves some credit for an excellent start to his career.

Well apart from  games New England v Denver and Colts v Steelers and maybe Tampa Bay v Washington I thought the other playoff matches this year were poor games that were just too one sided.

I do hope the superbowl is a close game that only has one score in it going into the final few minutes.

Good luck to both Seattle and Pittsburgh in the final

'Kay ,guys. Got the Monday booked off, the beers in already, and the pre-game starts at  4pm on NASN. So now to the predictions....
I would like the Seahawks to win for Mike as it is a vindication of all that he has been through over the last couple of seasons. Alexander has had an AMAZING season , so it would be great to top it off with the Lombardi trophy ( in years to come maybe renamed to Belichick trophy ? you heard it here first..)
But, if I truly looked into my heart , I have to say, let the Steelers win it for Jerome Bettis. It's gonna be his last chance and no-one deserves it more. He has played in the NFL for 14(?) years and this would be the ultimate going away present. The guy is the heart of the team.
Jo's prediction for Superbowl XL.........drumroll please.........................................
.........................Steelers 24....Seahawks 17................................................................
Whatever the result, have a great night . Mine's a Newcastle Brown.....
