They aren't bad. The original score doesn't work quite so well away from the film, but it's quuite eerie and menacing, especially when you're listening to alone at 3 in the morning The song compliations is much the same, it works best with the film, but there are some very good songs on there, Hurdy Gurdy Man being the best.

I buy most of them, the older ones anyway, second hand. Ebay is quite useful for getting them at great prices, plus there's a local charity shop that always seems to be getting them in, in perfect condition.

Last One was the bootleg score for An American Werewolf In London by Elmer Bernstein from Ebay and the complete Back To The Future promo only score by Alan Silvestri - two great scores (even though bootlegs) for dirt cheap!

Me too. Was waiting for me when I got home last night & listened to it on way into work. Wonderful stuff.

I've hardly listend to anything but The Fountain over the last days. It's one of those rare soundtracks I can listen to in it's entirety over and over again.

Damn good score and the first I have bought from composer David Arnold. As well as being a great accompaniment to a terrific film it is also a great tribute to the early bond films with their wonderful scores from John Barry. My favourite tracks have to be: African Rundown, Unauthorized Access, Solange, Aston Montenegro, Vesper, City Of Lovers and The Name's Bond....James Bond! The score is also great driving music too, should have been nominated for an Oscar and quite franky should have won it!!

I may not like the film or Craig as bond but i otherwise agree with all you said. Its one of the best soundtracks iv listened to for ages! David arnolds scores for the bond movies are all excellent and this is his best.

And the fact that i won it as a second prize on a radio show makes it all the sweeter! Missed out on first prize though which was all the ultimate bond dvds but have since bought them all anyway.

Quite possibly the best score of the five films. Thankfully, the wonderful yet overused main theme makes only a brief appearance here. Both the dramatic actions and the more sombre moments of the film are well covered.

The soundtrack to Birth by Alexandre Desplat. Amazing. If you like Philip Glass you'll like this.
