I've been told it might not be wise for me to order the Hobbit soundtrack with Christmas not so far away. I certainly can't wait until I do get it though. An amazingly good score that suited the film just as much as Shore's work for the three LOTRs. EDIT: Should have mentioned this earlier but as ace as the music was, there are some really odd musical choices most notably... SPOILERS FOR THE HOBBIT When Thorin runs towards Azog near the end of the film, we have Nazgul msuic playing. That seems like a particularly bonkers theme to be using at this time. It'll be interesting to hear when I get the soundtrack if that's how it is on the CD, but considering how well Shore played with themes in LOTR I doubt it. There are a few instances in LOTr in which scores music was replaced with other segments of the score and I wonder if that's what's happened here?

So, sir, we let him have it right up! And I have to report, sir, he did not like it, sir. Fellow scientists, poindexters, geeks. Yeah, Mr. White! Yeah, science! Much more better!
