I've picked up the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack, not sure if it's any good yet but it was cheap in the HMV sale so probably worth it.

Can't remember one piece of music from the film. Let us know it's any good!

A very good choice. Gustavo Santaolalla is a great composer.

Very excited about this!

You should be! It's simply brilliant

If you read the booklet that comes with it and find it interesting, you should read try the annotated score that accompanies it. It's available for a free download at the official site.

http://www.lordoftherings-soundtrack.com/fotr_complete.html

Hugely informative.

Bought this yesterday.

Damn, I'm just working my way through the booklet and now you bestow this on me, I have to get me some more freetime. Thanks for the tip!

I didn't enjoy the soundtrack of Batman Begins much, maybe TDK is better?

If you ever get the Complete scores for the other two films, the annotated scores are even longer . Plus, there's a book about them later this year!

I'm quite a fan of the Batmen Begins soundtrack so I'm probably biased but yes, I'd say The Dark Knight is better.

Oh dear... even longer

But yes, I'll definitely get the others as well, small price to pay for such a masterpiece. Haven't tried the dvd yet...

Think I'll dig up my old Batman Returns tape instead.

What's the link for the book?  It was in the LOTR Complete Recordings thread, which I now can't find.

Last soundtrack I got was Rambo.  Say what you like about the film, but the music is really something.

I got the 2 disc collector's edition of The Dark Knight soundtrack a few days ago. I already had the other limited edition (1 disc) but I couldn't resist getting this one.
