As the second season of "Prison Break" opens Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) his brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell), and five other inmates are on the lam after a desperate escape from Fox River Penitentiary. They are also in a desperate race, not only to elude the pursuers, but to find over $5 million in hidden loot. Hot on their trail is Captain Bellick (Wade Williams), a vengeful man driven by a personal vendetta who will stop at nothing until the escapees are captured or killed.

Can't wait. The Hunt is indeed on!

Yay. I can't wait for this to start. Prison Break was the best new show of last year. I wasn't too keen on it at the start, but by the end I jaw was on the floor. Looks like this season will have a completely different feel, but what happened to the title change everybody was talking about for the second season.

They gave up with the name change. It was supposed to be titled Prison Break: Manhunt for the second season but they decided against it, with 'Manhunt' now being the name of the first episode.

Amazing show, definitely the best of last year (though it was slim pickins indeed)

Personally I can't wait to see William Fichtner in action. Fantastic actor and I just know I'm going to end up rooting for him. And hopefully everyone will stay together in an attempt to find the cash. Such a great group of characters, it would be a shame if they all went their separate ways. T-Bag rocks!

yeah i agree, i dont mind spoilers as long as they are in that invisible text.

i did hear a rumor about the doc:

SPOILER apparently shes still alive. Michael hears this and attempts to back to see her in hospital as he feels guilty. this leaves linc with the reigns. Also i heard that michael will not be the same this season, what happend to the doc makes him take a back seat and linc takes control.

Totally agree! Not on for a lot of "previously on season one". I'm dying for the new stuff.I hope it keeps you hooked like the first season did - they better make Dr Sara Tancredi survive it wouldn't be the same without the love interest!!

yeah, apart from michael, t-bag is my favorite character.

i dont think there will be too much "previously on " i rekon about a couple of mins max. doesn anyone know if this is longer than normal episodes?

I cannot wait for this I need my fix of Prison Break I have been missing it so much I need to see the goregous Wentworth Miller. I hope there is going to be a third season, though I am not sure how they would do it if there was to be a third season.

Really looking forward to this as well

Their situation looked so desperate at the cliff-hanger from the last episode, how the hell did they manage to get away?!?

I feel I could do with a bit of a round-up from season one, it seems like such a long time ago..
(deleted all the previous eppies in a desperate attempt to get some more space, so can't really check those anymore)

While I'm desperate for new episodes of this gem, I almost wish they'd do a 24 and wait until January. The breaks between episodes are killer! They're doing the same as last season and taking an extended break after the first 13 episodes I think, and returning in March.

And I'll be picking up the Complete Series One DVD next month (no split season boxsets for me)

Brilliant episode. They have brought in new characters and situations without losing the whole tone of the show. Mahone is a character to watch out for.

Just finished watching the first episode. Brilliant. Mahone looks set to be a really good nemisis for Michael. I didn't quite expect the ending though, but i guess it was the only way to keep the whole conspiracy thing going longer. Can't wait for the next one!

I bet that pill from the pen gives him his intelligence! Seriously, what is up with that though, seems to me its some medicine to keep him alive. Wonder if the vet can reattach T-Bag's hand, if not I suppose a paw will have to do!

Spoilers for 2.01, Manhunt:

Prison Break continues to be fantastic. I wasn't sure if they could maintain the pace of the first season but based on this episode my fears have been allayed.

It's a shame that the guy who originally played Terrence Steadman signed up for another show because I hate changing actors. Still, the new guy did a good job.

I really liked William Fichtner's character (or Bill Fichtner as the credits call him). He may just be smarter than Michael, and Michael now knows he's facing a worthy nemesis. I'm guessing the pills were just something along the lines of Vicodin.

I thought the chase at the start was strange. Why didn't they just shoot them? And then once the train had passed they didn't bother pursuing them further? Weird.

Woo, Veronica is dead! The worst actor in the cast and she's gone. She really didn't serve much purpose now that everyone is on the outside. Plus it gives Lincoln a good storyline.

No Tweener, Haywire, Kellerman, LJ or POTUS (though she's unlikely to appear at all as she also has a new show).

I can't see any way that Michael or Linc can be truly free in the end. Michael is trying to save his brother but in order to do so he's had to do some bad stuff. He's freed some horrible criminals who will likely kill innocent people shortly. I suppose the only way things can end for them is if they do end up in Panama!

Great episode! Fast-paced and action-packed. I expected the writers to start the season with a double-episode incorporating all of the characters, which I think would have worked well, but this was still excellent none the less. I absolutely love Fichtner in everything he does and he's already shown that he's going to play a starring role this season. Roll on next week.

I didn't even notice an actor change, can't remember what he used to look like.

100% agree. I hated her all through Season 1 and I'm glad she's bitten the bullet. I was genuinly shocked though, I thought it would cut back to Steadman being dead. Pleasant suprise.

Finally the damn thing downloaded! Am so glad it delivered though. Was terrified it would jump the shark given the change in setting but was just as gripping as the first series and wow, can't believe what happened to Veronica. Did the actress piss off the producers over the summer?! One minor quibble though - wasn't it dark at the series 1 finale when they ended up at the airport? And weren't there helicopters swarming all over them at the very end? Ah, who cares, I was loving it all over again

Wasn't something said about the helicopters refuelling, and as for the pills, what was so special about them that he had them in a secret compartment in his pen. Doesn't sound like Vicodin to me. As for Veronica, the producers obviously listened to the fans and got rid of her.
