Nope, not just you, I couldn't access the site (any of it) for about twenty minutes.

I just thought it was this bastard laptop.

Once again there appears to be a problem with private messages. Today I was the recipient of a PM that was intended for someone else. I am assuming they received it too, but it's not really on that I should be receiving it.

And no, it wasn't exciting. It was about dull stuff. I want the bitchy, gossipy PMs!

I, too, have received PMs that should never have landed in my inbox.  I know other people have as well, although to the best of my knowledge no-one has read any of my PMs accidentally yet

The one I got most recently was not interesting, but I hold out hope that one day I'll get a fun one

Actually, you were the intended recipient of the PM I received!

*Edit* Can you tell me in a PM, thinking about it

*phew*

Hey, I just noticed that my post count has disappeared again.  Does that mean that we have more people in minus figures?  Yay!

Could one of the moderators please sort out the email feature on my profile? I haven't put a tick in the box to receive emails in My Preferences but still a link to email me on my profile is still there. I don't want to be emailed by anybody so could someone fix this asap? Thank you.

Timing out.

Words cannot describe how annoyed I am just now.

I just spent the last hour typing a review of Superman, that was a good couple of thousand words long. Once I clicked OK to post the message, I was told that the session was timed out, and when I clicked the back button in my browser, it wouldn't let me back onto the reply space for everything i had just typed.

I have my login set to never sign me out, so why this has happened has completly mystified me.

And ermm pms that aren't meant for me.  I've had a few of these now.

Funky it's to do with when you log in, if you enter your username without the caps you lose them. It doesn't happen to everyone, it did to me a while back.

I PM'd Helen and she sorted it out, although you could try logging in with the Caps and see what happens.

Filmbuff: Mods can't access that feature, it might be one for the admin section. Try PMing James Dyer.

Filmfan 2: The system does time out after a set period regardless of the options you've set, so sorry about that. How many people actually click log-out rather than just close their browser? Everyone would be listed as being online all the time if there wasn't a system time limit .

Funkyrae:  Thanks for the advice, GhostWriter. Try that method Funky, if not succesful, again, one of the admin types may be able to help, mods only get edit options for some settings.

I've finally got enough posts (or not, at the moment) that I've actually noticed my post count has reduced, like I noticed others on here have also said. Do they come back, these "missing" posts?

Hmm I've been logging in using the cap but hasn't made much difference.

Admin here I come I think.  It's not a biggie, just looks odd

Not sure if this has been reported already but on the M. Night Shayalan competition page there are presently no answer options to choose from when asked the question 'What was his last film'...

hello!

In the film review page, I just double posted without knowing it because it kept saying my session had timed out and it didn't seem to post. And of course you can't delete your posts in there, so I tried to edit the second post to say sorry and it wouldn't let me. So feel free to delete the second post in the Pirates 2 review thread if you can!

Cheers!

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I tried to post something onto the 'Departe Trailer/Infernal affairs' thread and wouldn't work, neither today or last night.

The 'look at me, you have to scroll down to get me to go' Megane advert is really starting to grate now... and I just noticed an AOL one barging its way into the screen as well. I don't know if they are supposed to be that intrusive or if it's just bad implementation but it's a bug and a glitch in by book, please sort it out ASAP.

I can't post in the 'Yorkshire Day' thread in Off Topic. Everytime I write my reply, click on either Submit or Preview and the following message appears:

What's all that about? I've tried 4 times now, I've given up! It's the only thread it does it in.

i have entered most of my dvd collection onto my account (not all my dvd's can be found either, i've had to copy and paste some from the empire store and they still come up wrong?). Anyway i have an empire rating for my collection but no user rating and sad as it may seem i would like to see what user rating my collection has got. Any ideas?

I posted this a while back, but to no avail, so thought I'd mention it again.

I no longer receive emails telling me of new threads posted to forums that I subscribe to.  I'm getting reply notifications though.

I've tried unsubscribing to forums then re-subscribing, but to no joy.  Is anyone having this same problem?  Or more to the point, is anyone else getting new thread emails?

Hello

I don't know if it's just me or anyone else is having this problem, but today it seems to be on a go slow on here.Whenever I click on something it takes ages for that page to come up, other websites are ok.
Sometimes a page comes up saying server not recognised and I can't get back on  here.

I hope that makes sense, I don't really know what i'm talking about with computors

Ignore all that, everything seems fine now.

I'm having the same problem, posts keep disappearing as "the page could not be found", etc.  There's a whole thread about it here.
