I can't upload files, is it because this is  in the file box?

Either the feature is disabled, or you do not have sufficient permission.

Just so i007_Bond_007i doesn't feel the odd one out... I have entered the Lost comp by clicking on the 'competitions' header but if I click on the link at the top of the page (Next to a pic of Kate) it also takes me to the trailer section. Its not a big problem as I can still get to the competitions section but just thought you should know.

See, I'm not the only one going mad .

Also on some of the very long threads (e.g. Post Something About the User Above You), there are a lot of pages (e.g. 58, 59, 60 etc.). When I click on the last page number it says something along the lines of: "Page isn't working. Go back". It seems that the page is created before it is needed to. So then I have to click on the penultimate page to find the end of the thread. In conclusion, it's a tad annoying.

Images aren't working . They work fine when I include them in the post, but once I posted the post it doesn't work .

Has your avatar been hosted yet? (e.g. by Imageshack?). Also your avatar might be too big (100x100 max.). Try using some of the avatars supplied by Empire first, to see if theirs work first.

I recently saw the new images for superman returns up on the site and the new windows the imags opened didnt fit. i had to keep in resizing them so i could see the whole image. (i should mention im running at 1600x1200 res).

also it might be worth looking to making a slideshow option for those images or at least a 'next' button allowing me to scan through the images without having to reopen a new window everytime!

Thanks

Im having a differnt photo problem. Its really annoying that on the main site whenever I click on a picture (red-carpet pics, posters etc.) the pop up window they appear in resizes itself to a dimension way beyond my screen boundry. I therefor can't get to the scroll bars or close the window. I have to go and right-click in the task bar to close it down.

What's with that?

I can't reply to the thread 'Make Me An Avatar' in Wonderful Toys. This has happened before in different threads but i have not been able to post there for three or four days now.

It is now 51 days since I asked this question and I still have the same problem. Does anybody actually read this thread or do you need a thousand posts before anybody gives a toss ?

I sometimes (mostly actually) get the following error when I try to set a deadline on a poll:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e07' The conversion of char data type to smalldatetime data type resulted in an out-of-range smalldatetime value. /forum/polledit.asp, line 135
Not sure why it should be out of range exactly, especially as it still happens when I select the date from the date chooser.

Edit: actually it seems that the format needs to be yyyy/dd/mm, rather than the stated yyyy/mm/dd bizarrely enough

Why is it most of the time the buttons "Edit" and "post reply" don't seem to work. It's as if the links on those buttons are just dead.

"Post quick reply" seems to work all the time and it baffles me. (Infact, the only way I posted this reply was through the 'quick reply' button).

I dunno if this has been reported before, but the "myReviews" section of myEmpire is fucked. When you try to add a new review to it, it can't find the page, and it just records posts you make in review threads. However, it records EVERY post you make in the thread, so if you have a discussion about the film after reviewing it, then those are there aswell, which seems pointless. Couldn't it just be that if we have a portfolio of reviews we can just keep a record of them in there?

EDIT: Oh, and I have less and less space for my signature every time I try to change it. Others have seemingly limitless room, so what does the website have against me?

"My Empire" isn't working (if I access it from the homepage). It says "Page cannot be displayed" etc. No idea why.

I've been through 7 pages of this, but I've given up now. Does anyone have clear instructions on how to update your 'My Profile' page? I'm unable to make any changes.

I'm getting the same problem as you, tbird.

It's happening a hell of a lot today for me, and was also doing it yesterday. It keeps timing me out. I'm constantly having to copy my text in case it does this.

Hmmm, I think this is a prob across the board. I'm having a prob posting, especially trying to start a new thread, it just takes forever and then claims that the page cannot be displayed!

Hi Clare

I'm replying here to test my posting capability. Your signature is from 'Anna and the King' right?

I'm still having major problems with this site, and unable to locate any kind of 'button' to update my profile, or make any kind of changes in 'My Empire'.

I've sent a private message too, using the links available, and got a message saying it was sent. But now my outbox shows 0 msgs.

Ah well, spose we'll just have to make the most of it for now
