All viewed multiple times over the years, all loved by the Reverend.

  1. Menschen Am Sonntag (People On Sunday) 1929: It's written by Billy (then known as Billie) Wilder, of course it's amazing.
  2. The Invisible Man 1933: Claude Rains, H.G.Wells, James Whale. Classic Universal horror.
  3. Brick 2006: One of fave films of the last 12 months.
  4. Alien 1979: It's my fave film of all time, I can't help my-self.
  5. Chasing Amy 1997: "What's a nubian?"
  6. Stage Fright 1950: Not the best Hitchcock but still a great example of the man's ability to obfuscate.
  7. The Usual Suspects 1995: Will Bryan ever top this one?
  8. Spider-Man 2002: Every time the Green Goblin pats a paralysed Spider-Man on the nut, I shit me-self with laughter!!
  9. Sideways 2004: Paul Giamatti was fuck'in robbed, not even a NOMINATION!!
  10. Amelie 2001: A tenna to anyone who can guess what Jean-Pierre Junet's favourite colour is?

The Wire is surely the best TV show ever broadcast in America. This claim isn't based on my having seen all the possible rivals for the title, but on the premise that no other program has ever done anything remotely like what this one does, namely to portray the social, political, and economic life of an American city with the scope, observational precision, and moral vision of great literature.

The Wire has never won an emmy? [It] deserves the Nobel Prize for Literature!
