1. Brief Encounter (fantastic, a true celluloid classic. clearly of its period) 2. The History Boys (bloody amazing. Loved it, excellently acted, defo a dvd to buy when it comes out) 3. Marie Antoinette (ignore the reviews, this is fab and lush. also historically accurate) 4. An Inconvenient Truth (interesting and a bit inspiring "save the world" and all) 5. Lady Vengeance (visually stunning. like a asia extreme version (murder/torture etc) of amelie - narrative style) 6. World Trade Center (absolute tripe, not worth the visit) 7. Devil Wears Prada (brilliant, loved the whole thing, so classy and amazing, meryl is truely her usual amazing self) 8. Children of Men (very good, charlie hunnam surprises again. Poignent symbolism relating to current political climate) 9. The Night Listener (good, toni collette breaks away from her usual roles. Good on her, tad confusing though) 10. Talladega Nights...(absolutely hysterical, could have wet myself throughout "you made me spill my macciatto") been lucky with all the good ones i've seen recently. Although History Boys, Marie Antoinette and Devil... and Lady Vengeance stand out as the best.
