That's just it though, if that were the only bit the film would be worth more, it's the length that kills it. The jokes get a bit thin and repeated sometimes. I'd maybe consider giving it 3 stars, I don't take my star ratings too seriously though.

There are a few pieces that could be cut down due to repetitiveness, like the fountain being switched on and off. To do it over and over would be fine if it was building up or evolving into something new, but it was essentially one joke repeated about half a dozen times. Springtime in a Small Town - decent

Castle Of Cagliostro - very good, but still about mid level for Ghibli

Kill Bill Vol. 1 - style over substance is one thing, but this seems to exist in a substance vacuum. There's more depth in a contact lens, the dialogue(!) and acting are both occasionally awful, but it has a few moments helped in no small part by the music.

The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner - pretty damn good

The Lost Weekend - good

Bottle Rocket - OK

The Brothers Grimm - Not as bad as it's reputation, a kind of Baron Munchausen / Sleepy Hollow hybrid with Matt Damon doing his best to imagine what Johnny Depp would have done with the role. OK.

Everything Is Illuminated - a bit patchy, but very enjoyable on the whole and occasionally hilarious

La Reine Margot - meh

The King - pretty good
