 I'm sure this has been dealt with before but I'm still stumped. How the hell do you put images in a post? I've tried following the instructions in the initial post but it doesn't seem to be working

If you click Your My Empire Account in the top left hand corner, you'll see it say's My DVD Collection on the right hand side.  Click on Add DVD.  You just have to enter the name of the film in the box that comes up.  It could be a bit of a painstaking task as you have to do one at a time.

But you get a star rating for your DVD collection afterwards.

 These questions have doubtless been asked many times but I couldn't be bothered to check through all the pages, so if anyone could help me out I'd be very grateful. How do you quote others' posts? Still don't know how to do that. And also how come I can't make a poll in some sections of the forum, but other posters can. Is it to do with the amount of stars you have?

I've realised that I think it should say "color" rather than "colour", sorry!

Grandma - you quote posts by clicking the 'quote' button at the top right of the particular post you want to quote.  Some forums were being overrun with polls and people complained, so now if you want to start a poll in those forums you need to message a mod and tell them what you want it to say.

As you can see, I'm still a little confused.. why doesn't that work. When you quote someone you don't have to quote their whole post do you?

 No, you can delete the bits you don't need!  Or you can highlight the bits you want to quote and hit "reply" instead, although that doesn't work for me.  It's either a Firefox thing or a my-computer thing, I haven't worked it out yet.  The tags for quoting are [ quote] and [ /quote ] without the spaces.  If you remove one of the /s from the tags, it should quote fine.

 The poll option was done away with some time ago after there were polls created for anything you can think of in OT.  If you have a subject that you would like to request a poll for, then PM the idea to a moderator.

 Wonder if anyone of you wonderful people could help?

I've been trying to post pictures on here but for some reason they're not appearing. I can get the picture to appear within a reply post prior to submitting it, but the moment I submit it, it disappears.

This is what I've done so far:
  1. Uploaded image onto hosting site (www.seemyimages.co.uk)
  2. Clicked on Picture Icon and pasted the URL in
  3. Pressed OK
  4. Image appears within my post up until I press OK to submit.




I also tried the other option of the inputting it manually but still no joy.



EDIT: Woo and indeed hoo! I've done it. Thanks to imageshack for that

Then you paste the link you've got and it ought to come up.  Voila!

 Although it says that the avatar limit is 150KB max, when I try to upload one, it will only allow me 50KB. Does anyone know why this is?
