About the spoiler tag, does it come up in preview mode or not?

When I try it in preview mode it doesn't change the colour, and I don't really want to post anything until I know its worked. [color=#F1F1F1] does this work? [/color]

I cant get pics to work. I add the pics in the "add image" box that I used to, it shows up on but is gone in a preview or post.

Any help on this?

Again, posted several pics for a long time this same way with no issues.

It could be the sub-forum (many don't allow pics to be posted by users)?

Or you could send me the link to one of the pics and where you were trying to post and I could try a test one?

How do you enable the file box at the bottom of the reply to message window? It always says " Either the feature is disabled, or you do not have sufficient permission" - how do I enable it?

You can't - I think it's only enabled in the Poster mash-up forum. It's the only part of the site you can append files I think.

I can't get images to come up in my posts. So for example, say I wanted to post a picture, I'd look for one on google, click on a image and copy it, then if I go to add the image to my post I'd use the [image] [Image] instruction...only it won't work? Can I anyone tell me how I can do it and explain as I'm an idiot 'cause I'm totally clueless. Thanks a lot, I'd really appreciate it.

As Elab said, it's probably something to do with the sub-forums. See, they're linked to the articles on the main site, and they obviously don't want their comments sections packed with pictures.

I wish there was a way around this (i.e. only having images supported on the forum side), but maybe it's just not possible to do.

Having problem editing a post, ever time i press post i get

500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

A quick question, if I may be so bold: How do people give themselves custom user descriptions? For example, right now Spaldron has his set to "This means nothing to me"

I can't give myself an avatar, when I go to edit my details and try to upload my avatar (88KB JPEG) all is good until I click "apply changes" and then I get a "500 internal server error"
anyone else having this problem? I have already reported this on the Bugs and Glitches thread but nobody has got back to me.

Where are you uploading the avatar from? Empire itself doesn't host pics - you link to a URL where the pic is hosted. So a free site like eg photobucket.

But where are you hosting the pics online? EMpire won't host the pics like Twitter does - you need to enter a URL to an online host like photobucket.
