Not that she's unattractive, it's more the way she all bloody and brandishing a chainsaw that makes me think I probably shouldn't find it as attractive as I do.

Not really. Jurassic Park is nearly two decades years old, has been available on video/DVD for years, is regularly on telly and has been re-released at the cinema several times.
Girls is only available through Sky Atlantic or downloading, which many people don't have access to.
Oh and I like her too.

Yes but if you're a fan of someone who's known for one thing, you make an effort to watch that thing. She's the creator/writer/lead of an Emmy nominated HBO show.

Dunham was known for Tiny Furniture - which could be watched legally last week.

Girls is not, to my knowledge, available legally in this country to people who don't have Sky (I don't recall seeing it on Itunes?). I'm sure you're not advocating that someone who chooses not to watch something illegally, do so? Unless you can recommend a legal way for a non-Sky UK user to view the show

I'd never advocate illegal viewing of anything. It messes up the ratings and could lead to good shows being cancelled (where's Community S4??).

Don't have Sky and want to watch Girls S1? Buy it on dvd or blu ray in December. Or Lovefilm it. Or Netflix.

The fact that it's not out for another month would explain why lots of us still haven't seen it..,.

You can watch it now on Netflix. The dvd/blu ray is listed on Amazon.co.uk and the US release is in December. I assume they'll want it out over here before next year.

I don't think it's a hipster thing at all. Gah! When will someone use that term in a proper context?

I've seen episodes 1 and 2 of Girls. It's a pretty good show and I definitely got some chuckles from it, but time will tell if it's actually something I want to stick with all the way. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that Lena Dunham is cute.
